ABOUT
SORELLA FILM

Sorella, meaning “sister” in Italian, was founded in 2018 with the mission to support female filmmakers, artists, athletes, and business owners, who may be underrepresented in their fields.
Sorella Film is not limited to female centric subjects and clients - we collaborate with all people to promote unity and equality in order to create the best possible films.
We are a female-owned, high-touch company that has the skills to help you with any and all aspects of filmmaking.
Sorella Film has a unique strength in equestrian sports through our founder and CEO, Georgia Griffis. Georgia recognized the lack of filmmakers available with knowledge both filmmaking and horsemanship. With a passion for both film and equestrianism, Sorella Film was born.
Since then, Sorella Film has branched into many incredible different industries to continue in its mission of representation, collaboration, and most of all, creation of film.
We appreciate your support in growing our small business!
OUR TEAM

GEORGIA GRIFFIS
CEO, Founder, Head Videographer
Georgia grew up on a horse ranch nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Her passion for film began in the basement of the Fountain Valley School library where she watched every Nicholas Cage movie and studied filmmaking techniques. As her desire for adventure grew, she studied in Italy during her Junior year of high school. There, she studied Italian Neorealism and its impact on cinema at large. In Italy, she discovered how film and images spliced together on the screen could carry a language of its own and communicate beyond cultural and lingual boundaries. Georgia recognized the importance of film as a medium able to communicate on a global level.
She worked as a production assistant on a Sundance feature Drunktown’s Finest working under female director, Sydney Freeland. She attended Colorado College from 2014 to 2018 where she majored in Film and Media Studies and minored in Italian Language. Her thesis film Utopik premiered in the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival in 2018 and was an award-winning film at the 2018 EQUUS International Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. It currently premieres on their online platform as an audience favorite.
Georgia founded Sorella Film in 2018 and has since worked with Non-Profits, Real Estate Groups, Startups, Retailers, and Equestrians. She creates multifaceted media deliverables communicating a vision, mission, or process. She is dedicated to working closely with individuals and companies to utilize the medium of moving images to share unique stories with the world at large.

OLIVER ROUND
Videographer, Video Editor
Oliver is a Denver native. He grew up immersed in the dramatic landscapes of the Rocky Mountains. His creative vision is often influenced by the time spent on his family’s cattle ranch in the Eastern plains of Southern Colorado, where the environment exhibits as much character as the subjects existing within it.

His comprehension of the concepts a sequence of images hold, make him a natural-born editor who constantly keeps the eye of an audience at the forefront of his mind. Although graduating college in the midst of a pandemic posed certain obstacles, he began his career editing promotional campaigns and documentary shorts for companies such as Puma, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Gustamo Restaurant Group, 4th Row Films and A Mile West Productions.

At the beginning of the 2021 summer, Oliver was brought on at Sorella Film where he’s continued to hone his editorial craft and gain experience as a videographer. His experience in the editing lab gives him a unique perspective behind the camera, capturing dynamic shots which translate into a compelling visual flow.
